Position Description:
Axium Healthcare Pharmacy is seeking a Business Development Manager to work the Oncology, Growth Hormone, Hepatitis C, MS, RA and RSV markets in the defined markets. Position Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business/incremental sales for specialty pharmaceutical products in the ambulatory and hospital market as well as preserving profit margins. This will require working with local and regional Managed Care organizations to secure new and building upon existing opportunities. BDM will also be responsible for managing and maintaining an existing account base and customer sales in these markets, to include driving customer wallet-share growth. The BDM will work closely with their Core Team, Pharmacy Account Representative counterpart, and local manufacturer representatives, driving revenue while supporting the opportunity for the Core Team rep to drive New Admits. This role will specifically support the launch of new products in new markets, helping Axium Healthcare Pharmacy to maximize market share and drive incremental sales revenue and profit. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 3 years sales experience with a proven track record of success, preferably in the Healthcare setting. Specialty Pharmaceutical/biotech or Healthcare distribution space a plus Qualifications include: • Bachelors degree • A minimum of 3 years successful sales experience, knowledge of specific therapeutic classes preferred • Excellent communication skills, which includes interpersonal, written, oral and presentation skills. • Medical experience preferred • Proficient knowledge in third party reimbursement • Proven sales track record indicating accomplishment and success • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and dependable vehicle required • Ability to travel, territory may require travel up to 40% of the time • RN candidates with specific experience in the disease therapies we are marketing: Oncology, Growth Hormone, Hepatitis C, MS, RA and RSV – are encouraged to apply!
